About the Author
Tina Maschi, PhD, LCSW, ACSW, is an associate professor at the Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service where she teaches research, practice, and human rights and social justice. She has over 30 years of clinical social work and research experience in juvenile and criminal justice settings and community mental health settings. Dr. Maschi was a 2010 recipient of the Hartford Geriatric Social Work Faculty Scholars Program Award and a 2009 recipient of the Council on Social Work Education’s Faculty Scholar’s Award for the research project Promising Practices in Social Work Research Education. Her research and practice interests focus on human rights and social justice, forensic social work practice, cumulative trauma, resilience and well-being, justice involved aging people, and community-based research and evaluation.

I teach a course in Forensic Social Work and selected this text for my class. Chapters are only appox. ten pages long with additional "from the field" short descriptions. Very disappointed and gave students articles to read and did not continue to use this!! Will not use again.
The writing style was so meandering around the main lesson or point of the chapter. Waste of reading time to find the key points.
