This makes a great gift for the Baby Boomer who has everything. They will love looking at all the pictures of Halloween costumes, and reminiscing.

This is a great book if you love the old collegeville & ben cooper halloween costumes.This book brought back alot of great childhood memories to me of halloweens long past.The book has tons of great pictures showing in full color all the ben cooper and collegeville costumes, as well as old candy containers,wall decorations, and old jack o lanterns. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves these old costumes from bygone years, or just a love halloween in general.I am very happy that i purchased this book.

This is an EXCELLENT reference for researching old & vintage Halloween costumes, but better than that, it is one of the most fun books I've ever paged through! In it I was so pleasantly surprised to find an amazing amount of costumes that I never even knew existed! And the amount of pop culture-related costumes (i.e., those of characters from television shows from my youth) is not to be believed! It's also put me on somewhat of a mission to locate even one of the more obscure costumes found in this book - just for fun! The early Halloween decorations chosen for this book are also some of the best vintage Halloween collectibles to be had. You will NOT be disappointed in this wonderful guide!

Given as gift, but all schiffer books are excellent.

I greatly enjoyed this book. It is Stuart Schneider's second book on this subject and even better than the first. The ability to identify these minerals in daylight and then have the fluorescent response next to the photo is a huge advantage. You almost want to take the book out with you in the field (I usually keep it in my truck when I am collecting).I have met Mr. Schneider personally while on collecting trips and he is a great guy and a true Franklin-Sterling collector. Keep up the good work Stuart!!!

The writer and book present a good text and great specimen pictures in both natural light and the preferred ultraviolet wave lighting.

A wonderfully illustrated book that is extremely helpful to the novice rock hound.
