Excellent book for devotion to the Passion of Christ and for meditative reading. Highly recommended - especially during Lent! This is not a book you read through in a few days. It really should be used for meditative reading with the idea of developing more compassion for what Jesus Christ suffered for the salvation of sinners and should result in the resolution of the reader to amend their life, cooperative with actual grace, and submit themselves to the will of God. May God bless those that pray over this book that they not only embrace the true Catholic Faith, but that they live the life of a true Christian - the life of a saint.

this was an excellent book to use during Lent. Meditations were great and opened my eyes and heart to think more about the Passion and how it continues to impact my life. this will be my perennial Lenten book.

This is one of the greatest works I have ever read when it comes to a devotional work! This will help anyone who devotes the effort to grow in a greater devotion to the Passion of Our Lord. I have recommended to work to over 20 people probably since I have started reading it (even strangers).

Forget about the cost & other books. Outside of the Bible this is by far our favorite followed by The Spiritual Combat and a Treatise On Peace of Soul by DOM LORENZO SCUPOLI. Amazon has them both. J. Looks like a wonderful book. Know people who love it but this wasn’t what I was looking for to use for lent.

What can I say about this book? I've been using it for probably 2.5 years now and I have definitely experienced its effects in my spiritual life. I chiefly use it for the daily meditations but also find it priceless for its chapters on Confession, preparing for the reception of Communion, and more. This book will infuse you with love for Christ Crucified...if you already love that Devotion, it will deepen it. Read this book, study it and learn from it, and you will undoubtedly feel yourself coming closer to Christ.
