So, this study guide provides three full length tests. Excellent! However, it only gives an introduction into explaining the test exam preparation and what to expect. Inside, are also the how to score on the exam. This book would be more beneficial to those who have another test prep book to study the content or taken courses on the exam content and only need this book to practice. Perfect for practicing taking the test to see if one is ready or not to take it. If that is what you need, then this guide is for you. I recommend it for test taking. Answers and explanations are provided in great details.I received this copy from the publisher. This is my voluntary review.

At the end of each one are the answers, but its not just the answer to #1 is D, it explains why that answer is correct. Perhaps as important, it explains why each of the other answers are incorrect. I much prefer this format as if I choose the wrong answer I want to know WHY its wrong. This saves me a lot of time going back and finding why what I thought was right was actually wrong... I also like this as I can review a few questions if I don't have much time.The book itself is 72 pages long, which is small enough to be easily carried for a quick review.I received a copy of this book for free from the publisher, this is my voluntary review.

I like how the book begins with some general overview information about massage therapy, etc before going into the test questions. I like that the book breaks down the different components that comprise the test (pharmacology, ethics, etc) and I like that there are quite a few different practice questions offered. I really like that the answer keys clearly explain why each answer is correct and why the other choices are not. This book would be appropriate for a person who has been in massage therapy school and is looking to take the certification exam soon. It would also be good for a person considering massage therapy to get a feel for all that is entailed.

I got as far as chapter 1 and had to stop because the Modernizr program no longer works the way it is supposed in this book. Yes, I could download the authors modernizr (and have) to get the examples to work, but I don't want to learn how it USED TO BE. I want to learn how to build games. The author was contacted, but he never wrote back on a workaround to the problem and hasn't updated the errata on the book yet for workarounds. If I were you, I would save my money. Technology is moving too fast for IT books. I already know that, but wasted my money on this book anyway.

This book needs a few updates. The first chapter has you set up the Modernizr javascript lib but their website is totally different now and the instructions in the book no longer work. Second, the use of Modernizr.load has been deprecated and that call actually uses yepnope.js which is no longer supported or even available for download. I could find no updates or blog posts from Karl to help readers through these changes and no way to contact Karl directly.I think this book has a lot of promise and I was really looking forward to running through it but I think without updates in at least this area it is not worth the reader's time and I would avoid purchase.

Now this is what I'm looking for...packed with goodies, and using languages I'm already good with. If you're good with javascript but jQuery looks greek to you, this is where you begin. It is packed with examples that don't make me cross my eyes trying to figure them out.

Well done tutorial! Was expecting a canvas based tutorial but that is covered later in the book.

The writing is clear and easy to follow, the examples are good, and the concepts provide a solid foundation on which you can build. This is not a comprehensive “everything you will ever need or want to know about game programming” sort of book, but rather a clean and enjoyable entry that helps you over the first hurdle of writing that first game. It then gives you ideas and tips to help you know what else is out there so you have a bit of a roadmap to continue learning as you figure out what sorts of games you want to create.

Build an HTML5 Game assumes that you are familiar with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and will teach you how to create a game from start to finish using them. You don't have to be an advanced coder to read this book, but some foreknowledge will go a long way since you won't be learning the basics of these programming/scripting languages.This 198 page book written by Karl Bunyan will teach you how to make a browser based bubble popping game similar to Bust-A-move. There are eight chapters and the first seven are dedicated to programming the game while the final chapter discusses other HTML5 capabilities such as retrieving data, webSockets, WebGL (for 3D) and security. The final chapter also makes some suggestions on other games HTML5 would be well suited for including solitaire, platformers and match-3 games like Bejeweled.You won't be getting any history lessons as the first chapter has you diving in and coding right away. Some of the goals achieved during the development process include randomizing the game board, calculating the firing angle and stopping point for the bubbles fired, dealing with collisions, keeping track of the score and handling new levels and the game's ending.Throughout the book, there are many helpful explanations and points to consider. While the author recommends using Google's jQuery files, we have found the program to run better with them hosted locally. The source code is readily available to download and view if you're stuck and can't figure out why the game isn't running.The price of the physical copy is a reasonable $22 which is much cheaper than taking a college course on browser based game development. The Kindle version is even cheaper at less than $14.

I loved this quickie story. It's pure fantasy fun. You know that friend that wants to know everything about you? That's how I felt about Hailey and Gage.I couldn't enjoy this story more unless I was experiencing it myself. My only complaint would be it was too short because I loved these characters and the insta love that is 6 months in the making.Can't wait for book 2. Yes, it's a standalone but I can't wait for their friends to experience a love like Hailey and Gage.

I read this book a few years back and remembered how much I enjoyed it and decided to do a re-read.This story is about a shy, reserved woman trapped in a strippers body. She and her girlfriends are having a get together and notice a man standing in his window across the way completely naked. He notices her as well but they do not act on their instant attraction to each other. The mystery man, who the girls named Mr Tool, becomes their weekly show. He struts his stuff, while working up the courage to ask her out, and she fantasized about him regularly.Very hot and steamy with some laughs as well. Great family dynamics between Gage and his brothers Dylan and Derrick, and their Mum, Barbara.At the time when I originally read this it was the first in the series and none of the others were out, now there are 4 more. I will definitely be checking them out.

This short novella of only 80 pages or so was a good story, but had so much unrealized potential. The plot would have made for a great full-length book where the reader could get a complete sense of the characters-- as is, it was mostly a sex romp that didn't offer anything special and emphasized the lack of depth. A good read, but not worth the money paid-- admittedly, my fault for not checking the page count before download.

Loved this story. The girlfriends watching the hottie across the way. Sex and the City banter watching Mr. Tool put on a show. He shows he knows his way around his fantasy woman's body and he manages to deal with her "issues" in an interesting way. The hot start and sweet ending make it a great read. Now I want to know what The Warren twins, Derrick and Dylan are doing.

~* 3.5 Stars *~It's innocent, if slightly indecent fun. About as indecent as the shy and a little uptight Hailey Jennison gets, actually. She and her friends get together every Friday night for some very specific girl time. Gathering around the window in her friend's apartment, lights off, snacks and drinks in hand, they look out the window and down into the apartment of the man they refer to as Mr. Tool.The man is smoking hot and has a habit of walking around his apartment barely clothed, sometimes not clothed at all (and aren't those happy nights!), with his lights on and his shades up. Hey, a girl's gotta grab whatever salacious fun she can, right? It's harmless and he's the man of her dreams - literally. Then she goes out to get some more booze for the girl's night and Mr. Tool confronts her about her and her friends' weekly activities.Mr. Tool...Gage for those who actually know him as more than just a bit of man candy, gives Hailey an ultimatum. Either she goes out on a date with him, or he calls the cops and files a complaint about her and her friends' weekly peeping.For six months Gage has been hoping for a chance with Hailey. She had moved out of the complex before he worked up the courage to talk to her, but he caught her and her friends spying on him one night and has gone out of his way to make sure she has plenty to see ever since. True, blackmailing the woman for a date isn't exactly the most gallant thing he's ever done, but it got the job done. Finally. Now, if he can just manage to get through the date without opening his mouth and sticking one or both feet into it.To say Gage is socially awkward around women would be a gross understatement. It makes starting a relationship hard, especially when he is as attracted to a woman as he is Hailey. A little blackmail seems a small matter for his pride, though, if it gets him a shot with Hailey.~*~This deliciously erotic little bit of yumminess was fun for a hot, quick read. The plot was a bit light, and I'm not sure I bought the whole gorgeous-guy-has-to-blackmail-a-girl-for-a-date concept, but the characters were likable and the sex was abundant and hot. Sometimes, that's all I need to be happy with an erotic novella like this.I liked that there was a surprisingly plentiful cast of secondary characters. The length of the story didn't give much room for them to be fleshed out very well, but spending time with Gage's family and Hailey's friends did add a bit of depth to both main characters. Depth that I enjoyed. I was amused by the relationship between Gage and his brothers and mother. Those weekly breakfast/guilt sessions and the sibling ribbings that went on seemed very natural to the characters and situations. I enjoyed them a lot.I wish that Harte had pushed the envelope of Gage's awkwardness around women even further, because he never really struck me that way when he was around Hailey. He certainly wasn't Mr. Charming, but to have built up the level of neurosis he had over his lack of ability to speak to women without saying something wrong, I would have expected him to be much, much worse than he was. Maybe if he'd been even more blunt, or less endearing with his clumsiness, I would have bought into it a bit more.Hailey didn't do much for me, really. She didn't annoy, but she's too familiar as the uptight, tightly wound Type A personality bordering on prissy. The girl with a killer bod and an ice maiden exterior fashioned from her fear of pain. I wish more originality had gone into her character, but she at least held her own.I'm not a fan of the quick-to-love theme in romance, even in erotic novellas. That, for me, was the bigger issue with the story. I wish the romance had been given a longer lead time, even if it had been in condensed form. I also would have liked a meatier plot, and I'm no fan of relationship conflict that's nothing more than a failure to communicate, as it was here. Those are the things that held me back from completely liking what I read.It was hot, though, I'll say that. And I do have a soft spot for the themes of unrequited love (or lust) and love (lust) from afar, like Gage had for Hailey. He was kind of geeky-cute with his affections and I enjoyed that aspect very much. For a quick read that will definitely raise a gal's body temp, I'd recommend this one, but I personally would have liked more story and a less annoying conflict.~*~*~*~Reviewed for One Good Book Deserves Another.

Lord, this books starts off with a bang and does not stop! It's just one enjoyable, sexy time after another. It helps that Gage and Hailey are too cute together that you can't help but hope that it all ends well. Enjoy this book. I'm ready to read the next in the series now!

The book was good,it had humor and I really like them as a couple .might not read the 3 rd book.of the series. I don't know where it's going with the one twin being bi is not what I want to read about .

Ok this book was so short, and the characters weren't developed enough. Very unrealistic they were in love after like 1 date. But the book did have some good parts: it was super sweet, had an alpha male, and some pretty hot sex scenes.

It’s not difficult to find a Hebrew Bible and Greek New Testament combined under one cover. Biblia Sacra has been a standard for nearly two decades and A Reader’s Hebrew and Greek by A. Philip Brown II, Bryan W. Smith, Richard J. Goodrich, and Albert L. Lukaszewski has been offered by Zondervan for roughly 8 years. That said, earlier this year when I found out that Hendrickson would be publishing The Complete Hebrew-Greek Bible, the anticipation began to develop almost immediately.There are a number of reasons Hendrickson’s The Complete Hebrew-Greek Bible is a standout from the crowd. First, and probably foremost, the quality of The Complete Hebrew-Greek Bible is superior even to some of the most premium original language Bibles. The printed text is sharp and well-defined with minimal bleed on the opaque off-white paper. This is especially unique at under $40 for the hardcover edition and $60 for the imitation leather edition. A Reader’s Hebrew and Greek is over twice that price and half as nice. Second, the choice to use the Biblia Hebraica Leningradensia (BHL) edited by Aron Dotan and the 1881 edition of the Greek New Testament edited by B. F. Westcott and F. J. A. Hort (WH) is both functional and unique in the marketplace. Where most options available tend to use the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (BHS) and either the 27th or 28th edition of the Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament (NA), here BHL and WH offer pastors and students a reliable text that is both readable and versatile. Third, while other options may prefer the textual basis of the BHS and NA, both BHL and WH offer textual analysis where differences are present. WH includes a critical apparatus at the bottom of the page indicating when it differed from NA27 and the Byzantine text by Robinson and Pierpont. Unfortunately, BHL does not include a critical apparatus at the bottom of the page, but Dotan did include an appendix with manuscript variants. Lastly, it is worth mentioning a few stylistic features in WH, such as periscopes labeled in English, verse references to synoptic parallels, and Old Testament quotations and allusions indicated by bolded Greek text with reference at the bottom of the page. These features expand the functionality of the Greek New Testament beyond simply text on page, and allow the pastor or student room both to read and study.The only foreseeable shortcoming of Hendrickson’s The Complete Hebrew-Greek Bible is a lack of attention to consistency with regards to the functionality of BHL. Apart from Qere forms in the margins and the corresponding unpointed Kethiv forms in the main text, there is little effort to offer the reader anything other than a reading experience. There isn’t anything wrong with this approach. But, as readers turn to the New Testament, the “bells and whistles” found in WH’s critical apparatus and stylistic features are evident. It seems that the Hebrew Bible and Greek New Testament were edited separately before being bound together, and a consistency check was lacking. As mentioned above, Dotan does include a number of appendixes in BHL with helpful material. But, it would have been nice to have at the bottom of the page like WH.Hendrickson’s The Complete Hebrew-Greek Bible is a phenomenal new resource at a very attractive price. The quality far exceeds the sticker-price! Both the Hebrew and Greek text are crisp and readable, and the binding is well-constructed. It opens flat with no issues and should last a very long time. Apart from the shortcoming mentioned above, I can think of no reason that pastors and students shouldn’t jump at the opportunity to own this volume. It’s easily the best option on the market for the price, and comes highly recommended!

It is a compact size—only about 6x8”—but it is incredibly thick, almost 3” in width, and, consequently, is very heavy. Nevertheless, this is comparable to most language Bibles and is albeit more portable than other large tomes. The reading experience is, overall, fantastic. The text is well-set and large enough to read easily. In Hebrew, the Masoretic vowels are able to be identified without a magnifying glass. There are wide margins and pages that do not bleed through, and the book names are provided in both English and Hebrew/Greek on alternating pages. Each testament contains many appendices outlining textual issues in the manuscripts.As a reader of primarily the Hebrew Old Testament, I will find great value and utility in this Bible, using it for study or devotional methods, especially when I desire a reading experience that is free of distractions.
